Hi all, ars technica reports that the MBPs got the larger trackpad of the MBA to go with the multitouch. I honesty cannot even imagine apple expecting people to use multitouch functionality on the "standard" size trackpad.

It just seems impossibly lame that Apple would leave the small trackpad on there an add multitouch.

Any pics on apple.com show the small trackpad, but the demos on the MBP page show the MBA trackpad with a little footnote of course (prob since it would look sort of wierd trying to use the functionality on the small trackpad!)

Anand bought one to rip it apart... augh solofx beat me to it. No change in trackpad size; changing the trackpad would require a new case, and this seems to be more of a drop-in upgrade aside from the voltage regulator change.

From the outside (apart from different KB labeling) the new and old MBPs are identical.
