My dad wants a Macbook Air for traveling. However, his IT guy is against anything Mac only because he (admitting) doesn't know much about them. I've done some research but I'm looking for a realworld answer. Essentially my dad likes the design and size of the MBA. He is looking only to connect to his office PC through Remote Desktop. He is not looking for a replacement computer, the MPA will only be used a secondary travel computer.

1) If you run Windows through bootcamp will the networking act as a windows network?

2) If you run Windows through Fusion or Parallels will is there any special networking issues that need to be addressed.

3) If your running OS X with Remote Desktop Connection are there any connectivity problems?
 Macbook CD 2GHz/2GB RAM/500GB HD/10.6.2
 Mac Mini C2D 2.26Ghz/2GB RAM/160 HD/10.6.2
iPhone 3g 8GB / Apple TV 40GB

Yes. It'll behave as any other Windows computer would, assuming its networking is configured like another Windows computer.[quote]2) If you run Windows through Fusion or Parallels will is there any special networking issues that need to be addressed.

It's always worked well for me. I just make sure the target Windows machine is configured for remote desktop/access, then I just connect via Remote Desktop from my Mac. It works great.
