Ive got the extended warrenty on my macbook and I was wondering If anyone knew if the charger was covered by warrenty. It keeps flickering on and off and Its to the point that I have to position the brick just right for it to even work. So my question is does anyone know if apple will cover this??

yes... so long as there's no physical damage to it. (i.e. dog chewed cord, cable ripping, etc)

Of course it is, it's a piece of equipment that came with the computer originally. AppleCare would a laughing stock if it didn't cover such things.

ooh...melting is bad, very bad.

But: Convincing any Apple employee that it wasn't abuse is going to be very hard. Just winding the cord up with a kink at that spot, that could do it. You can try, but remember to keep your cool and be polite throughout.

In any case, the cord is shorting out, if you're having to position it just so to get it to work. You should replace it immediately, if not sooner, because it might damage the laptop.

It's better to politely ask for a replacement under warranty so that you do not have to report it as a fire threat. Just say it was sparking a little and you're concerned that the product has a design defect.

And bring some of these pics: Mag-Un-Safe?
