My sister is going to University in the fall and I wanted to give her my computer setup. She's going to another city so I wanted to help her out a bit. I told her if she pays me what the laptop is worth, I will give her everything else with it (speakers, all-in-one printer, sleeve and case, mouse, extra battery, external HDD). I just want to make sure I give her a fair price on the MacBook, so I need some other opinions on what it is worth.

Specs:

White 13.3" MacBook
2.0gHz Core Duo
2gb Kingston RAM
160gb 7200rpm Seagate Momentus (2months old)
FastMac 8x Superdrive (going to purchase very soon)
OSX Leopard

The exterior and screen are in excellent shape. No scratches, used iKlear polish, Monster LCD cleaner & Micro fiber cloth. LCD has zero burned/stuck pixels, looks great. Keyboard and trackpad are not worn or dirty. Original battery has a health of 94%, and second is 99% (according to iStat Pro).

Whatcha think she's worth?

Noooooo..... If it's really a Core Duo, then more in the $600 realm, esp. on eBay.

I was going to say "$25" but then offer to take it off your hands for $30 just to be nice.

Seriously I think iMitchell got it right, give or take about 10%. With that new drive that's both more spacious and faster than the stock drive, it pushes the value up beyond the $600 range Adam suggests.
