Can someone give real world read/write speed comparisons?
I'd love to know the speed differences between:
• Standard 5400rpm drive
• MBA's new SSD
• Any fast ExpressCard SSD

Most express card ssd's run of USB 2.0, so they are bottlenecked at 30mb/sec maximum. That is NOT the case with SSD drives. The benefit of having an SSD express card is close to zero. You can do the same of an expensive USB stick/external hard drive.

This is annoying, but it saves money/effort. USB is easier/cheaper to implement than PCIe (which ExpressCard also offers).
