I have a Powerbook G4 and after a software update download and restart my laptop got stuck.

After reading some info at this site I tried to restart while holding down Apple + V key.

Here's the result:

I don't know what to do next. I'm not that well versed on MAC so break it down "barney style" for me.

Try booting from your install disk, using command C and holding it down as soon as it turns on. I've personally never done that before, even though I tried once when my mac broke, but it didn't work for me. There might be an option to see if there has been any hardware failures or something, im not really sure, but it wont do any harm to boot from your disk.

Definitely boot from your installation disk, don't go into the installation process, just choose your language, then select Utilities from the menu bar, then select Disk Utility. Run the Repair Disk process.

I rebooted from my installation disk and was able to log in. All my work was there, I was a happy person. Thanks to both of you. But now I can't connect to my home wireless network. It works because I'm using it with a diffirent computer.
Are there follow on steps that I should take since my problems started after my software updates I ran?
