Well after years (yes, years) of waiting and doing the mental juggle "Should I get a MB or MBP?" I finally got what my heart really wanted (but I don't necessarily "need" lol)... a new MBP! 15.4". I bit the bullet when I saw that Amazon had a deal on the last model before this current revision and the price was only 1524$ after their 150$ rebate. It was too good a price to pass up for me. Got it Monday night and I love it -- the lit keyboard, the screen, the size, the feel, the look... well, just everything

Anyway, just wanted to share my excitement. Looking at getting a custom Timbuk2 Laptop Messenger bag (medium). Anyone have comments on this item?

Cheers!

Ooo thats the one I have. Solid computer =) I need to get a new bag so let me know if you find a good one. One piece of advice I will give is that the power adapter is 80$ so don't let your new kitten associate FrontRow with a toy or she will play with/eat the adapter and ...ya.

Out of curiosity what was your last computer?

I also have a 24" iMac (new body) <grin>.
Before that I had a 12" iBook, which my dad now has.
I've almost got my whole family switched now - my 1 brother and his wife just got a 15" MBP in December (after a year of my "selling" them on Macs), one sis has a 13" MB she bought new last fall, and my other sis bought a used 17" MBP. My lone brother without a Mac has a Dell that he is always complaining about... Steve, don't you think I should get some type of referral bonus? LOL.

RE: Bags. I checked out a lot online and for me the Timbuk2 is the "coolest" and most handy. I love that you can design your own!
