Oooooooooooo... I called the local Apple shop and apparently there's a big Big BIG BIG conspiracy behind Macbook screens- According to 10,000 of angry bloggers.

Turns out, there IS a model number and it's something like 661-3959, 661-4211 or 661-4398. The sales guy at LowEndMac.com said it's either an LG or a Samnsung but Apple doesn't want you know that it's not their own brand. I was like "yea right", but sure enough, when I called Apple and gave the phone tech specific orders to look up my serial number and tell me if it's an LG or a Samgung, he said it was IMPOSSIBLE. I said "wait, you're telling me Apple doesn't keep basic records on the machines they sell such as screen brand? That's absurd!" So he puts me on hold for a few minutes and comes back only to tell me it's a Samsung.

I'm going to go buy the Samgsung replacement part and that technician better PRAY TO GOD or whoever that he's right, because I will not let this die... No no, I surely will not.

Apple Inc, if you're reading this and would like to stand behind your product for a computer technician and loyal supporter of 15 YEARS, you can still replace my screen and I can be contacted at (650) 346-4211 during normal business hours.

I think everyone is pretty well aware that Apple does not produce LCD panels

Can you share a photo of what a cracked MacBook LCD looks like?
