ive been debating to sell my 6 month old macbook pro 2.4 ghz with 256 mb video card for the newer macbook pro

i mostly do 3d architectural rendering, autocad, photoshop, and photo editing

will i notice an advantage to the faster processor, and upgraded video card?

Unless you're using very large textures with your 3D models (and rendering them in realtime), you're not going to notice the difference. Spend the $$$ on RAM and fast external hard drives.

Well if you're going to go from a 256mb video card to a 512 then it might be worth it.. otherwise I'd go with mduells suggestion.

Benchmarks haven't really shown it to be that much better - I'd just stuff some more RAM in it as mduell suggests, save yourself a bit of money

Ok let me qualify.

If you're using Mya or AutoCAD... buy the 512 card. If you're going to be using Windows, but the 512.

Otherwise do what you like.
