Sitting here on the couch, relaxing, and my Macbook turned on without any provocation... No schedule is set, the thing just started up, and it had done that several times when I opened the lid, but never with the lid open and not even touching it... Does this thing sense my presence, and read my thoughts about turning it on? If so thats a bit freaky

Was it asleep or powered off? Do you have any USB devices connected?

I was just sitting there looking at it and it turned on... Did not even touch it, and the scheduler was turned off (I know that thing can turn it on at a given time if you set it)

We have a iBook G4 we use around the house to play music and stuff, it's never turned off, the lid is closed and it falls off to sleep... It's ALWAYS connected to IRC when it's awake - Sometimes, in the middle of the night it connects to IRC then falls back asleep, sometimes twice a night, usually when it's just me in the house - It's trying to scare me

Seeing a computer you assume to be asleep turn on, connect to IRC and then disconnect while you're talking to your friends is quite off putting - I always assumed it was the scheduled tasks or something, I could be wrong though
Macbook Pro 15" Rev: Feb08
iPhone & iPod Touch

20" iMac G5, Mac Mini G4 and an iBook G4, all retired.
