I know if I purchase a new Macintosh product I have up to a year to get Applecare, but I'm unsure if that rule is valid on Apple refurbished equipment. The information given on the refurbished equipment page says that you have the option to purchase Applecare at the time of purchase. I'd love to buy Applecare at a discount at Smalldog or LA Computer if it's an option for refurbished equipment. Thank you.
