My MacBook won't boot. First it shoves a disk with the namne "EFI Boot", than it changes to a cloud. I, and no one i've spoken to, has ever seen anything like it. Not even Apple support.
Does anyone here have an idea what it means?

What happens if you double click on the cloud? Looks like someone has possibly given the HDD a cloud icon and for some reason the drive has no name or one isn't showing up.
Also, hold down the trackpad button after the chime to eject that CD.

I'm the only user of the computer, and I have not changed anything related to that. However, the HDD has now completely failed, which can be clearly heard. (but, the disk utility still reports SMART status as OK )
The computer is still under warranty, so I'm going to hand it in today. Thanks for the help anyway!

weird-o. Looks like your disk malady has resulted in your Mac confusing its icons and transposing the one of the cloud (used when removing items from the dock) with the correct graphic element.
