Weird Battery issue! Help a broke kid

OK so after spilling water under my mac book. I dried it off and let it air out for 4 days.
Pluged it in and it turned on!!! Every thing works fine besides that it cant turn on without being pluged in. The battery display reads as an X. However it isnt the battery itself beacause I have swaped them out. What can be my problem , how can I fix it. I have no coverage. Please help guys.. thanks

Well its obviously something with the passage of power from battery to computer. Can't help you much more, sorry.

Sounds like you fried the DC-DC power circuitry which AFAIK is integrated into the logic board; a very expensive repair.
I'd get used to living near a wall socket.

yay! just what I want to hear! 
Idk if its fried it seems to be going back and fourth from displaying an x to a working percentage. It can work without being pluged in. It cant start up without being pluged in tho

Keep in mind that when the battery isn't working, Apple reduces the performance to one core at 1Ghz, so it's probably worth your while to figure out a way to make it work.
