I am quite new to MAC, 4 days old, basically I saw the light. Had enough of windows and everything it cannot do. So, my question, I used the disk utility to create a new partition, yes I also forgot to name the drive so basicially:
1. How do I rename the drive?
2. How do I delete that partition and/or restore same to the main drive.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a MAC BOOK, 13.3" 2.4Ghz, 2GB ram.

Welcome to the Mac (note capitalization) and welcome to the forums!

1) You rename a drive by simply clicking its name in a Finder window or on the desktop and typing the new name. No drive management or drive letters required here!

2) Go back into Disk Utility. Select the drive (the drive itself, not the partitions that make up the drive) and go to the Partition tab. As instructed, drag the separator and click Apply. Of course, remember to backup your data. If you cannot do this because it's the startup disk (may or may not work; I haven't tried it myself), boot from your retail OS X disk or restore disk that came with your computer. You can access Disk Utility from one of the menus in the Installer.
