I have an iBook G4 that I've had for two years. Two days ago I turned it off, and when I tried to turn it back on nothing happened. I left it plugged into the wall over night. In the morning I tried to start it up and still nothing. The power cord lights up green and my battery is fully charged. I thought it might startup on its own because it has a timer set to start up in the morning, but it didn't. What can I do?

Unplug it, pull the battery, put the battery back in, plug it back in. Press the power button and when (if) you hear the startup chime, press and hold the following keys:
Apple Option P R
Hold them down until you hear the startup chime three more times.

Even though I had tried that before to no avail I figured why not give it another shot, and what do you know it worked!! Thanks! Hopefully it will stay alive!

Thank you, Sherman Homan, whoever you are! I had this same problem with a dead iBook G4... found this thread, followed your advice, and now it is back from the dead and I am in the process of backing up everything to an external drive before it dies again.
