Lately I've noticed that my Macbook is having this weird clicking issue. Like if I am in Photobooth and I want to click on past photos that I have taken it just won't select them. No matter if I click with my wireless Mighty Mouse or the track pad. I even tried using the double tap option on the track pad as well.

Now this isn't just with Photobooth. I've noticed that sometimes this happens in my web browsers. But lets say I take three photos in Photobooth. I could select photo number 3 but now 2 or 1. This is really bothering me because it's effecting how I work. And unfortunately I do not have AppleCare. And not having it is really worrying me. I thought it might be some bug that needed an update but I just performed a Software Update. At the moment am running Disk Utility and Repairing Disk Permissions.

Anyone else have this issue or know what could be going on? Thanks in advance!

I found this article Ouch! Seems it may be my logic board. And I wonder how much that will run me since I do not have AppleCare. =[

No AppleCare? An out of warranty repair like that could cost $500-$700, if not more.

Where's the click emanating from? if its the hard drive, then you can replace that yourself. If not then the original est. is not that far off. I think the basic diagnostic fee is something like 350.

I booted into my Bootcamp partition and my click seems to be working perfectly. This makes me feel a little better. Just maybe it's not a hardware issue. I am hoping and trying to stay optimistic that it's not my logic board.

I don't know if this has anything to do with my current problem. But I just recently installed my iLife suite that came with my Tiger disks. I didn't have this issue until I reinstalled iLife from my installation disks.
