I'm thinking about taking an ibook that has a busted screen, remove the screen, see if the computer will still startup fine with it just using the external video prot and use it as a Dvd player for my TV. This way, I will have a DVD player that will play basically all video formats from Divx, NTSC, PAl, etc.

Was wondering if anyone has tried this product with an ibook:
Apple Remote Control Solutions and more - Twisted Melon : Fine Mac OS Software

I know it says it will work on all mac, but before I buy one, want to see if anyone else has one and that it works fine.

Also, has anyone seen any other products that will work with the Apple Remote the will plug into an ibook?
