Hey all,
I just got a call from a friend of mine saying that her iBook G4 shut off while she was using it last night and will not start now. I haven't had the chance to go over there yet, so I don't have all the info I would like at this point. I thought I would see if there were any initial ideas though.
I don't recall the exact processor speed, but around 4 months ago I installed an additional 1gb of ram for her. Her battery is dead, she said that she has to leave it plugged in or it will shut off. She said that she is pretty sure that the battery cable light was green when it shut off last night, and she was sure it was green when she could not get it to start this morning.
She said that she did not hear any sound at all from the machine, noe chime or any sort of mechanical noises.
Since her battery has been dead for some time, I am not sure it is that but certainly could be. Is there any sort f power supply in laptops? Any thoughts?
Thanks,
SAm

Never mind. Reset the PRAM and it started up. She might just get a MBP anyway. Wondering if there might not be new ones coming soon...
