I wasn't as gentle as I should have been while popping out the spacebar on my MacBook Pro and the white plastic parts (2 for the entire key, 6 total) and am having a hell of a time putting them together so I can put the key back on. I've searched forever for a decent photo of how they go, but to no avail.

Basically I'm wondering if the square-ish part goes under the round-ish part which goes through it. It's very hard to explain and I can add a few photos to help illustrate.

Any input is appreciated

Hi ellada,

the scissors assembly you're talking about can really only be assembled correctly in one way - the whole thing has to lie flat when the key is depressed, and the two outer pins have to be up to snap into the keycap. There's a metal hook as a part of the keyboard that the scissors has to hook on, so that flat that goes under the hook must be on the bottom so as to hook properly.
