Both 16 months old

MB logic board replaced twice(red light around headphone soocket, screen flicker) invertor replaced once( failed to cure screen flicker), cracked anterior edge of case repaired twice,
Currently in dry dock for dead fujitsu HD, screen flicker( will have a third logic board replacement) Loose hinge replacemnet.

MBP 1 logic board replacement (garbled screen video) 5 battery packs!!

All still in Apple care

Recommendation Get AppleCare - very obliging and surprisingly quick service. Return to the same Applestore eachtime(to build up a relationship with the staff) Always keep calm and accept recommendations but do ask for clarification and express concerns if there are any.

Are other users noting reliability issues?

iPod 20 Gig 3 HD replacements over 2 years now dead totally, can't be bothered with it.

U2 Ipod 2 HD and a logic board replacement dead too, can't be bothered with it

2nd gen Nano ok 2 years old.

Even more sorry for me?

In the past ( 1990's) Apple IIvx HD failure and logic board failures x 4.

Powerbook G3 bronze was bullet proof. I love the OS but curse the hardware

MacBook #1 - 8 months old. Logic replaced due to intermittently working USB port, this however seems to have actually been down to 10.5.2 - oh well. Screen replaced because it developed dead pixels. Top case has a split where the crack usually appears.

MacBook #2 - Seems to have been cobbled together from multiple MacBook parts so this one doesn't really count. White MacBook, black MacBook logic board, new screen, 2nd hand top case because the other one had mangled plastics & I ripped the ribbon cable. Working fine apart from not being able to charge batteries.
