I have a MBP that is nearly 2.5 years old. The Applecare will be up soon and I've always had some problems with it being so hot. I always figured this was normal though. I have the istat pro widget installed and it has the temp sensor built in so I took a screen shot to show you the temp at 100%

So does this seem normal?

PS - After letting it sit for a little bit and browsing the internet, the CPU has cooled to some high 60's

Thanks for any feedback ahead of time.

If those readings are correct, that's hot enough that the CPU is throttling itself back due to thermal protection. Although those readings also imply that the GPU heatsink is pumping heat into the GPU, so I'm suspicious.
