I see that there's a revised MagSafe power adapter for the new MBP/MB. Does anyone know if it's just an aesthetic change or if they're incompatible with the old units? i.e. if I have a spare old MBP power adapter, can I use it with a new one, and can I use the new power adapter with older MB/MBPs. As I understand it the older MB and MBP can use the old MBP power adapter, which was a large brick.

MagSafe is MagSafe, so it should work everywhere. The only difference to be aware of is the wattage of the adapter. You can use a lower power MB adapter with an MBP, but you won't be able to run the machine and charge the battery at the same time (you'd have to sleep it or shut it down to charge).

Great. That was my take. In this case, it sounds like all MBP adapters will power any MagSafe-powered device, new or older.

This is slightly off-topic, but, how does it work with higher-powered adapters? I have a couple MacBook Pro MagSafe adapters, will they work if I get a new MacBook? Will they mess up the battery?
