Hi,
Okay... a bit of an introduction to my problem.

I bought a MacBook, had it for about 6 months, then one day it started randomly turning off, this happened rarely... but overtime it started happening more frequently. Then eventually it stopped recognizing my battery and an X would appear over the battery icon. I could only use the computer when it was plugged in.

I brought it into a shop for help... I was new to the mac-game at the time, and wasn't paying attention to my software updates.... this was brought to my attention by the people at the shop, they suggested I do the software updates. So I did, and then everything went haywire and I lost all display on my screen.

So they took hold of my computer, changed the battery, changed the motherboard... it was still under warantee so I wasn't too concerned.... got my computer back, worked like a gem, pretty much a brand new computer...

I thought to myself, I'll keep this machine running smoothly, learn from my mistakes, and make sure to do my software updates...

NOW THE PROBLEM:

Tried doing the software updates, went flawlessly for a bit... then one day after the restart following the updates i get the following message after startup:

No devices were found that require this firmware update.

I thought "hmm" well if nothing needs the update, shouldnt be a problem right?

wrong... now again, battery is not recognized, and has an X over it.

help?

Thank you,
Defendmyname

Your MacBook is still dorked up. Possibly a lemon. Return it for more repairs or ask for a replacement unit.

Its just the battery. Apple will replace the battery again, no sweat.
