hello, mac newbie here!

quick question. i bought a ibook g4 like 3-4 years ago. been a while since i used it actually and one of my friend wants it which i am going to do. however, i just wanted to know what i need to do to delete everything from the hard drive. steps and such. remember, imac newbie here

any help would be greatly appreciated

boot from the install disks (put the disk in, then restart while holding down "C") then just do a clean erase and install.

If you wanted to be secure about it, choose the Options and do a 7-pass wipe. This will erase all sectors of your hard drive to ensure no one can recover data.
