The reviews of the Mini DisplayPort to Dual Link DVI adapter are terrible with reports of it dropping out frequently.
Anyone here have a good experience with it on a 30" Cinema?
I have the older gen 17" MBP on order and have the option to switch it to the new 17MBP but am afraid it will not work well with my 30" screen and may opt for the older gen with DVI.
I'm wondering too. So, is MiniDisplayPort still borked for dual-link?
Does single-link work fine? My understanding is that it does.
P.S. Monoprice claims it will be releasing Mini-DisplayPort to HDMI adapters soon. I assume these will be single-link only, and will not include sound support.
Supposedly Apple now claims the MDP -> DDL DVI dongle only works with their 30" display. But people have been seeing distortion issues even with the 30" ACD so I guess there's still no way of being 100% sure.

Yes it works fine, i have a Samsung 2253BW at my place in NYC, works perfectly fine although sometimes coming out of sleep mode or when just going into clamshell mode, ill get 2-3 seconds of "snow" before the picture shows up. I dont have that problem with my 24" ACD up in the Hudson Valley so im thinking its monitor related since the ACD is LED and the Samsung isnt?
