Just replaced my Pismo with a bad backlight in the display with a used one from e-bay. Less than 2 weeks after receiving it it has stopped booting. First started by freezing up whil I had several windows open. On reboots it would take longer than normal, but would reboot, then freeze when I tried to open any program. Did that three or four times, then just stopped rebooting altogether -- no apple, no spinning gear, just a gray/blue screen. Tried resetting PRAM, no luck.

Vendor is saying it sounds like PRAM needing reset or system software needs reinstalled (which of course is a big problem since I bout it with the software installed, no discs).

Any help/suggestions appreciated.

Sounds like the hard drive has progressively failed.
