The BTO page for MacBooks shows that with the 2GB option it comes with "2X1GB". Is that the "off the shelf" configuration as well? I want to be able to plan ahead to max out the RAM when we get my wife her MB this summer, so knowing that I really need two 2GB DIMMS would be very helpful.

Shouldn't this be in the memory sticky?

MacBooks always come from Apple with paired memory. You may just want to go to 2+1 now and 4+2 in a year.

It probably should, but I didn't see it there...

This is exactly what I wanted to know-and the heart of what should be in the sticky... Thanks.
