I am trying to solve a problem for one of my clients. He has a MBP which when he first got it ran Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger). When after regrading to Leopard his keyboard started to stall while running certain applications which include Microsoft's Excel, Entourage, and a few others. Has anyone had a problem like this or know of a fix? While in safe mode the problem does not persist.

Just in case.. define stall? its not the case that the MBP is taking long in typing? (as in the beach ball that appears when the processor is working)

Thanks for you response! The computer doesn't seem to lock up but the keyboard just doesn't respond there is no sign of the mouse showing lock up either. The way my client gets out of the problem is by right clicking.

Since the problem is not constant or permanent, I would like to think its a software problem. Usually when I´m clueless I just backup and reinstall the whole thing to discard any hardware problems. Maybe someone else can give you better advice. One more question.. does the MBP have extra fonts installed?
