I gotta ask, is this normal?

I bought a 13" MBP to replace my previous gen Mac Mini
Sometimes under load, audio skips/cuts out/crackly and my mouse jumps around. It's like the acceleration is randomly changing. I used to give my Mini a workout and this never happened before. To me this seems like a hardware problem. Am I correct?

The audio source doesn't seem to make a difference, could be iTunes, Quicktime, or Safari

I recorded videos so I would have an example

My audio sounds very good with no crackles.
