So,
Yesterday i spilled some water not a lot but enough to **** things up i think. Inmediately i turned off the computer and unplugged, it was not possible to take the battery out because its a mac unibody, i dried most of the computer and afterwards i turned it upside down.
I tryed to take most of the water out. mainly the spillage was a bit of everywhere but the most part was around the enter key and the F buttons.
But seeing that some water was leaking i tryed to get a blow dryer and then things got worse.
The blowdryer is damaged and only goes to very hot, this i didnt notice, because its not my house. After that some of the keys wrinkled, they melted basically and some of them popped out. in total 10 keys were damaged in the area between the 6 and 9 and the Y and the O.
I left the computer upside down and left it there.
Today i was in the mac repair shop and well the computer booted normally and it seems that the hard drive is ok, and that all of the keys that were melted are working, just the keycaps are busted.
I left the computer open to dry, i ordered new key caps to replace the busted ones and i will not use the computer for some days as the guy in the store recomended-
I ve tryed to see if there were any threads on overheated keys that melt in response to a water spilling. but i guess i am the only idiot who does something like that.
Can someone give me any advice, any signs of hope?
