Unfortunately, my cat was feeling a bit rambunctious and spilled a glass of water near my MacBookPro (which is 6 months old). i immediately unplugged it and took the battery out and set a fan on it upside down for 3 days. I tried to turn it on twice and at first, the screen wouldnt turn on. Day 2, the screen turned on and went to the opening apple screen, but no further. Today, it got to a "safeboot" screen where it asked me for my password. When i typed it in it says its the wrong password even with my master password (i know theyre both right, its just not accepting them). I called apple customer support and asked what could be the problem- they said to insert the mac os x install cd and restart the computer pushing down "C" while it starts up. Ive done this 3 times and it doesnt do anything, just sends me back to that password screen.
I don't know where to go from here. The guy at the computer promised me the computer would never turn on and id need a new motherboard($1300) obviously he was wrong so i dont want to bring it back to him. Does anyone know if maybe its my keyboard thats not typing in the wrong letters or something?
Thanks!!
