My Cousin has a MBP Early 2009 model. Her optical drive keeps trying to eject a CD when there is nothing in the drive.

The only way to get it to stop trying to eject a CD when there is no CD in the drive is to put a CD in the optical drive.

I tried to reset the PRAM, but this did not solve the problem. Does anyone have any ideas so that she will not need to keep a blank CD in her optical drive?

Thank you,

O
B unce!

It's still under warranty, right? Take it to an Apple store. There's obviously something wrong with the optical drive or the optical drive cable that should get fixed under warranty.
