So theres this 17" MacBook Pro. Due to a fault keg, a small amount of beer was sprayed onto the laptop. It was fine at first, but a short time later, the backlight of the screen went out. Theres an oh-so-faint pictures on the screen but no light. So it was brought to apple, and they said it needs a new logic board. But this doesn't sound right to me? Wouldn't it be much more likely that it's the inverter board? I looked at apple's service manuals and I don't see an inverter board listed. So I was thinking, maybe it's built in to the logic board . . . but if you google for MBP 17" inverter board, you do get lots of results. So maybe it's built into the screen like it is on the MacBooks, and they just don't consider the screen something you take apart. So anyone have any thoughts on this?
