So the other day I found out by accident that my wife got me a new MBP 17 unibody for Christmas (she's the best wife ever!). I've been looking at protective covers for the MBP but I was surprized that I could not find a good form fitting leather protective cover. I found one for the older MBP but not the new one. I scoured eBay, Googled it, etc - but I only found one: APPLE MACBOOK PRO 17" UNIBODY CASE COVER SKIN LEATHER - eBay (item 380139645218 end time Jan-11-10 06:07:12 PST)
Nice, but it wasn't form fitting. I did find one that had a carbon fiber look but I'm trying to find one in leather. If anyone knows of a company that produces one, I would appreciate a link. TIA!!!!
BTW, if anyone knows of an exotic leather (like ostrich, etc) that would be even better.
small suggestion: a Speck see-thru case: I've got one on my 15" MBP, and I've put on of my son's hand-tinted photo underneath it. I can recognize my laptop anywhere! plus, it's spared my MBP from many a knock.
I have the SeeThru as well (actually the satin version). It keeps it well protected. I've not seen any leather cases that aren't bulky/overpriced/silly looking.
