Hey everyone,
I have been reading for hours now and talking with tech support but I am still not sure! haha

Basically will this work in a 2 gen black macbook (2Ghz, 1g Memory)

Newegg.com - Kingston 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Memory for Apple Notebook Model KTA-MB667K2/4G

Some sites say that memory by kings does not work for 2 gen anymore, some say it does...
Thank you so much!

I see absolutely no reason why it shouldn't work.

However, your MacBook will only recognize three of those four gigs.

That will work. You'll be able to use 3 of those 4 GB.

Note however that you'd be paying a horrendous premium for "Mac-compatible" RAM. This Kingston kit will work just as well and it's $83 shipped.

But did you do a forum search? Or just look the the notebook subforum? There's a RAM upgrade sticky with answers to all these questions.
