'm on the verge of picking up a new Macbook ($799 at Microcenter is just too good to pass up), and I am curious to hear from other owners of the new white unibody Macbook about any particular problems it may have. I know the older Macbooks had all sorts of case cracking issues, but I can't seem to find much about the new ones (perhaps that's a good thing).

Just remember new models are likely to be announced within days-weeks.

Thanks, I'm well aware of the timing of this, but even if they do, chances are that the left over models will still cost more than $800 unless Apple does something unprecedented. Thoughts of a Core i3 model with a faster graphics card are enticing though.

My original question stands though, do these have any history of major problems?

Just FYI, refurb MBs (current generation) are going for $849 right now, before the update. IOW after an update clearance items should be selling just around $799. At least that's the way it was last time.
