I have a first-generation 15" MacBook Pro. Recently, three of the keys on the keyboard stopped working (specifically, the up, down, and left arrow keys). I think it happened around the time of a minor fall. The keys still depress normally, but the computer doesn't respond to them.

There's a Mac tech here in town who could probably fix it, but I'd rather not pay $150 for his time if it's something I can fix myself. Does anyone have any ideas as to what exactly would cause this problem, what I should look for when I open up the computer, and what I need to do to fix it?

Thanks!

One possibility is that one trace in the keyboard has been cut somehow. That's more correlated to spills, but I guess a fall is a possibility. If so, it can be fixed with a pen of conducuting ink or even aluminium foil. Google it for videos.
The low-end Mac Pro is the most overpriced Mac since the IIvx
