For some reason my moniter shrank and I have an inch of black stripe on the right and left side of my screen. I can't figure out how to change it back. Help!

Did you have an external monitor (or a projector) hooked up to your ’Book? Sounds like it incorrectly jumped back from a 4:3 setting. Changing the screen resolution and then changing it back again often fixes this

Or, when you say ‘monitor’, do you mean an external monitor connected to your laptop?

I have never used an external moniter. I am just using my plain old macbook. However I did manage to solve the problem. Thanks!

How did you solve the problem?
