Rest pram and smc

Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

If that doesn't help, you'll need that OS X DVD, either retail or the one that came with your MacBook, or another OS X machine with Firewire. Assuming your Mac has firewire, and you have the right cables, you could put it into firewire target disk mode and the other Mac could run some diagnostics.

"deleting a few file"!?

What sorts of files might this have been?

If you've been ****ing around in the system Libraries and randomly deleting stuff, you're not going to get *anywhere* without an Install Disk (that should have come with your computer; it wasn't complete if you didn't get them).

If you don't have them *anywhere*, you can order the specific disks for your machine from the Apple Support Hotline.

Macs don't have a BIOS. They have an EFI, but it's *very* unlikely that you're seeing that.

More likely, the box is booting into Single User Mode, a simple UNIX shell.

I'll gently ask again:

What does "deleting a few files" mean?
