I spilled powerade on my MAC book last night. I turned it turned off. It wouldn't come back on. I left it alone until this morning. It wouldn't come back on. I went to see GEEK squad and they said it may cost up to $1000 to fix etc. I bought a new Macbook. I took the old hard drive out of my old Macbook. How do I get my old hard drive (files etc) on my new Macbook??? Am I better off paying someone or can I do it myself???

PLEASE HELP ME

Buy an external hard drive enclosure - 10 dollars or so - and stick the drive in there.

Attach the drive to your new MacBook and follow instructions when it asks you whether you want to transfer your data from an old Mac.

As Spheric Harlot just get an external 2.5" enclosure, put your old hard drive in there and connect it to your new MacBook. It is very simple and straight forward.

As a sidenote, if you spill liquid on your computer, you should take out the battery and leave the computer off for several days to make sure even the tiniest bit of liquid has dried. Sometimes waiting overnight isn't enough.
