Charging MacBook Pro battery in the Philippines

I will be using a MacBook Pro in the Philippines which is 220v. Can I safely use the laptop while it is plugged in? Can I safely use the 220v to charge the battery? Additionally, if I am using the laptop while it is plugged in, does it charge the battery at the same time? Or is the battery only charged when the laptop in not in use? Thanks

The only place you run into issues with charging while using is when using undersized adapters or on airplanes.
