Hey all,
I am forced to use an old ibook for a week. Everytime I try to use it after a few minutes I get a message that says I need to restart the computer.Afterwards, it does it again and again.
I tried unplugging the battery then plugging it back in. It is supposedly charged fully.
Any ideas?

Bad memory, faulty airport card or something else... try removing the airport card first, then swap the RAM.

Holy crap, that was fast!
Is the airport card removable? All I see on the bottom is the battery, is it accessible somewhere else?
New RAM would be a problem since I only need the computer temporarily while I am staying at my sister's house while my bathroom is being remodeled.

Yes.
Unlock the keyboard with the screw that doubles as the numlock led cover, then slide the two white tabs at the top of the keyboard back.
Keyboard should lift up, exposing the airport card.
Below the airport card is the memory cover which will unscrew with 4 or so screws.

Yes I did. See what one night without a computer does to me?
