Actually its still true that not all RAM is created equal but if its got a lifetime warranty then you can't really go too far wrong and both those brands ought to be fine. Its the ones you've never heard of I'd watch out for.

Unless they buy their integrated circuits from the same source, which is likely.
Go for RAM with the specs you need, double check the user reviews on NewEgg if you want, find a good price, and call it a day.

I don't know, but my point was that if maker A and maker B both get their ICs from Micron, there really isn't a difference in the actual chip. There could be QA, warranty, etc. differences between companies though, I guess.
