macbook air speaker problem?

I recently bought a used macbook air (2008) version on eBay but when I play sound it is only coming out the right side by the USB port. Does it not have a left speaker? (I'm used to using a white macbook which has the sound coming from the entire length of the hinge between the display and keyboard.

It has two speakers and a sub I believe. Do you get both channels from the headphone jack?

Early MacBook Airs had only a single speaker.

You're absolutely right. Can't believe how long its been since I had one in bits now.

Only the 2010 and current 13" models have two speakers. I didn't check the 11".
