Hello!
Yesterday I went to install my new RAM, something I have been planning on doing ever since buying my '08 aluminium unibody macbook. I took the panel off, went to take the battery out and it just wouldn't budge.
I tried for sometime, trying to jiggle it around but no movement even after pulling the tab with reasonable force - just enough not to break the tab.
Anyone experience anything similar, or have any advice?
Thanks, much appreciated.

Not sure which model you have, but iFixit is your go-to guide:

Probably a screw you are missing or something.

The '08 Alu units had removable batteries.

I vaguely recall the locking mechanisms jam from time to time. You didn't close the battery release lever after removing the panel did you? Battery won't come out unless its open.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....
