I started to use my Macbook Air about a month ago and I am not really experienced in it like some of you guys so I googled for some help and it led me to this website.

It is about my web-cam as you all already known; when ever I open software and applications such as Photo Booth or Motion FX (applications that use the Web-cam) it cannot locate the camera. So I restarted my laptop and used Motion FX and it worked until I closed the application and tried Photo Booth it didn't work. I opened Motion FX again and it cannot locate the camera like before.

Ironically, there is that little light that is situated on the right side of the web-cam on my Macbook Air which is working and it is staying yellow in color as I am typing this. I am thinking that the camera is still on. So I put my laptop to sleep and kept the lid of the laptop up and that little yellow light is still there.

I didn't know what that means so can you guys please help me out and give me some ideas of what might be causing this to happen. I am thinking it is some sort of spy ware.

Please reply to this post if you can help.
Thanks and Merry Christmas!

My light is green, I thought they all were. Can you take it to an Apple Store?

It either needs an OS reinstall or a hardware fix by the sounds of it.
