Hi All,

I have an older Macbook Pro (MacBook Pro 3,1, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.4GHz) on which I need USB 3 for a camera card reader (a Lexar dual slot reader).

Any suggestions on Express/34 card that would work? (and that I can get here in the UK in two weeks?). The machine is presently running 10.7.5.

Three options I've seen are:

1) No indication that there are OSX drivers: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

2) Amazon description says it's OSX compatible, but no comments from buyers:

3) Sporadic functionality reported by reviewers:

Can anyone give me some knowledgable help here?

Thanks in advance!

Your question really made me interested in this topic, so I found this ( for you unfortunately a german website):
Shop - mac&egg : mac&egg

The first listed card looks really good and comes with drivers for most OS X versions!
Maybe google can help you with the translation - the card is listed on Ebay!

Go to OWC. Great service, great knowledge, now with UK agents.

I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....
