How do those who have the new square white adapters like them compared to the "old" Yo-Yo style ones? Why should I wait for a new one? Please let me know what you like and dislike about them.

Anybody know where you can buy these yet or at least place a pre-order?

I like the new adapter better - it is simple and functional with no moving/fragile parts. I had a friend that almost electrocuted himself when he accidently set his foot on the YoYo. The new adapter also packs better.

i dislike the new power supply honestly. it scratches too easily and there's no side to it that DOESN'T scratch. seems anal, but if they're going to make the thing shiny and white, people are going to be sensitive to how it looks after a bit of usage (as you can tell, i already scratched mine).

also, there are two extra parts that you're supposed to carry with it (a plastic cover for the male end that connects to the pb and a plug adapter where the extension cord attachment goes). i know i don't have to carry both of those items, but it seems like a worse design to me than the yo-yo, which seemed to be self-contained. also, i'm just afraid that those little prongs that stick up to wrap the cord around are going to bust off some day and i'm gonna have to buy another one just because it'll bug me that they're broken.

but i do like that the new one is smaller. i just wish that they could have incorporated some of the things i liked about the old design into the new one.
