ATAPI Zip Drive in Starmax 3000?

One more question for Motorola Gurus. Am I able to plug an ATAPI Zip inot my StarMax and get it to work. The machine I have has the ATAPI plug free because it has a TEAC SCSI CD-ROM, which I guess is uncommon. Want to put a ZIP in the tower, and thought some Power Macs used this interface for Zips. Would like any knowledge of using this interface with ZIP that anyone has.
