I gave my old LC630 to my grandmother a couple of years back - anyway the screen started to go 'wobbly' the other day and now when you turn the computer on it de-gausses and the screen light goes from orange to green but nothing comes up on it - dead - blank - kaput.
Is there a fuse that I can replace somewhere that will get this old baby working again?

Since you said you gave it to her a few years back (and the LC 630 is a vintage machine), the first thing I would try is replacing the battery on the motherboard (you can get a relacement battery at any Radio Shack).

I'll try that though the system does power on and start-up and responds to the power button to turn it off - even the screen cycles through its startup process (degauss etc) just doesn't show anything.
I tried reseating the board and the ram but no luck
I don't know of anyone around with a monitor or that era (and plug) so I may just try to give it away to a school or something.
I don't know what Apple were doing with that series of Macs - the older ones like the IIcx were so easy to open and service - the LC630 is like some strange puzzle thats takes forever to get open and then you have one or two screws leftover at the end. Thank tha maker they (Apple) went back to simplistic design with the G4 towers.
